About Holly

Hello! I’m Holly, the founder of Hollys Woofpack!

So, I grew up in Norfolk and have lived here for many years now.

I have loved and grown up around dogs from a young age. We always had family dogs and I used to love taking them for walks and going on adventures and I always knew I was going to be a dog person.

So when the right time came, I finally decided to get my own dog, called Luna. Little did I know how much work she would be, how many times I thought 'what have i got myself in for' ..

There's where my training journey really started. I looked into lots of different training methods and kept wanting to know more. I dug deeper into behaviour modification which is where I saw Will Atherton's course.
I started his advanced behavioural training course and realised that this was my passion. Seeing how much happier these dogs were after training had been implemented was amazing. And just like that, 8 months passed and I had passed my exam to be qualified and could not wait to get started!
Within that time I got hands-on practice with family and friends dogs. I loved learning as much as i could (and still continue to) do training courses to keep updated and expand my knowledge.
I’ve learnt so much training my dog Luna and building an amazing relationship with her. I wanted to be able to do that for other people to help them bring the best out in their dog and feel the benefits.
I also have experience walking multiple dogs as a dog walker. This helped me gain more knowledge about different breeds and behaviours. I loved working with dogs so much and wanted to put my knowledge to good use so I decided to start my own business, once qualified, as a Behaviourist and Trainer!

The Approach

Understanding the Importance of Dog Training:

  1. Enhanced Communication: Effective dog training facilitates clear communication between humans and their canine counterparts. It establishes a common language, allowing owners to convey commands, expectations, and affection, resulting in a deeper connection.
  2. Behavioral Modification: Dogs exhibit a wide range of behaviors, some of which may pose challenges in a domestic setting. Training interventions can address issues such as excessive barking, lead pulling, general manners and fostering a more conducive and peaceful living environment.
  3. Socialization Skills: Well-socialized dogs are more likely to navigate the world confidently and positively. Training provides opportunities for dogs to interact with other animals and people, promoting healthy socialization skills crucial for their overall well-being.
  4. Safety Measures: Training instills essential commands like sit, stay, and recall, ensuring the safety of both the dog and those around them. This is particularly crucial in public spaces and emergency situations.
